The details are
half the adventure.
Teal banquettes, warm wood, and a ceiling that invites a second look. Find a seat and let the evening unfold.
Carved wood, blue velvet, and a cabinet full of possibilities. This is where Doc’s journal comes to life, one concoction at a time.
Step a little farther into the world of Odds. Dark wood, curious collections, and a rather distinguished visitor from Egypt await.
A nod to an age when science felt like sorcery. Look closely: the details are part of the adventure.
03 / The story of Odds Bodkins
A little lore from Doc’s journal.
Meet the minds behind the mystery.

Field note 01 / The gentlemen
Cornelius “Doc” Bodkins
Inventor. Travelling medicine man. Keeper of a very unusual journal. The gentleman in the top hat is your host in the world of Odds.
A.L. Gerrig
Explorer and the man behind Trade Winds Import Co. A collector of remarkable things—and an indispensable companion to Doc.
Their paths cross at the pyramids in 1901. Their adventures find their way into every corner of the house.

Field note 02 / The delivery
In the tales of Odds Bodkins, Gerrig’s travels bring rare botanicals, unexpected treasures, and the occasional exceptionally large crate.
Among those treasures: a sarcophagus from an unknown pharaoh. A rather memorable gift between friends—and a clue to the figure waiting in the lounge.
Look around. The stories on the pages have a way of appearing in the room.

Field note 03 / The spark
Doc’s journal leads him to New York in 1886, where a meeting with an electrical genius ignites a friendship founded on invention.
In the world of Odds, a glowing bulb is a possibility, a coil is a conversation starter, and a little electricity belongs in the evening.
It is the same spirit behind the strange apparatus, warm lights, and curious concoctions around you.

Field note 04 / The flight
The journal’s adventures reach Kitty Hawk in 1903, as two brothers turn an impossible idea into flight.
Doc has a fondness for people who ask “what if?” The Wright brothers fit the bill beautifully.
Back at the table, the Hummus Flight offers a delicious little nod to their place in the story.

Field note 05 / The invention
Another page, another encounter. In 1908, Doc’s travels bring him into the world of an industrial titan and the machinery of a new age.
It is a story of restless minds, ingenious mechanisms, and ideas that refuse to stay on the drawing board.
That inquisitive spirit is at home here. Bring yours.
04 / The Promethean Society
In Doc’s journal, the Promethean Society is a gathering of inventive minds, founded in 1878. An evening at Odds is your invitation into that world.
The Promethean Society — website coming soon
The Society’s website is being prepared. Membership benefits, requirements, dues, and applications are being finalized.
The house journal welcomes guests as honorary members for the evening. Permanent membership details are being finalized; applications are not yet open. Ask your host about the Society when you visit.
